Juxtaposition
Juxtaposition is the art of comparing two things in an ironic and/or thought provoking way. This picture displays juxtaposition by comparing a traditional Asian style tower, next to a modern, industrial factory. The tower representing the past, and the factory representing the present.

Juxtaposition
Juxtaposition is two things that are purposely placed net to each other in order to provoke thought or generate humor. In this image a van from a church is parked in front of a adult store, contrasting the fact that the church is supposed to represent what is right, the innocent, and everything non-sexual.

Juxtaposition in real life
I chose this image for juxtaposition because there is all the pink girly fabric on this tank. Also this tank is in a seemingly safe area. The tank is a symbol of war and for it to be behind girly, whimsical fabrics is just very odd. Also the placement is odd because the are which the tank is in does not look like a war zone. The fabric juxtaposes the tank and the tank juxtaposes the alley way.

Juxtaposition is the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect. The juxtaposition in this picture is demonstrated by the WIN A DREAM HOLIDAY AD and the sinking cruise liner below that. This picture uses juxtaposition in a humorous way by making the reader think about winning a dream holiday, but to be scared about the cruise liner sinking.
Juxtaposition
Juxtaposition is the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect. In this picture, the objects being juxtaposed are the flowers and the building. That is true because, flowers represent peacefulness and nature. While buildings are man made and a lot bigger than the flowers which come from the Earth. The flowers have lots of natural beauty which the buildings take away from them.
JuxtaPosition
Juxtaposition is two things placed next to eachother that are not alike in order to provoke thought or humor. This is a picture of a Disney blimb next to a fighter Jet. This represents juxtaposition because the blimb is from a kids network and the fighter jet is used in war.
