Juxtapostion
Juxtaposition is two things that are purposely placed net to each other in order to provoke thought or generate humor. The picture below displays a segment from a newspaper with the headline "Stop tweeting" and just above that headline the newspaper says "Follow us on Twitter". This is an example of juxtaposition because of a contradicting ad asking the reader to follow the newspaper on twitter when just below is a headline saying "Stop tweeting". I find this humorous because it is almost confusing that a headline says stop tweeting and just above the headline you are encouraged to use twitter. This is a good example of juxtaposition because of it provokes thought on what is trying to be displayed.
