Juxtapositon

Juxtaposition is when two entities are purposely placed next to each other as a way to provoke thought and or create humor.  An activated mind is the goal for when juxtaposition is used creatively.  In my picture, the two signs are being juxtaposed.  They are contrasting the rules about pets for the same exact location.  It is meant to bring humor to the viewer of the photograph because it is so confusing that it becomes funny.  It is unclear if pets are allowed or not because the first sign says "no" but then is contradicted by the second sign saying that they just must be on a leash.  It is an example of juxtaposition because it engages the mind.
