Brad Pitt and his Plan B Production plan are heard to be also producing this movie with Mr. Adam McKay working out the script.

The Big Short tells the story about the buildup to the housing bubble crash during the 2000s, highlighting the key players behind the financial crisis and those who predicted it would burst. Michael Lewis has had two books made into movies Moneyball and the 2009 Sandra Bullock film The Blind Side. Both were Oscar nominees for Best Picture. Ben Affleck Reteaming With Gone Girl Director David Fincher for Remake of Strangers on a Train

Strangers on a Train is the story of two strangers who meet on a train before negotiating a plan to carry out murders for each other. However, according to Deadline, the remake will star Ben Affleck as "a movie star—in the middle of a campaign for an Oscar during awards season—whose private plane breaks down and is given a ride to L.A. on another plane by a wealthy stranger."
To create this movie Affleck will be teaming up with Director David Fincher. They had previously worked on the very successful movie Gone Girl. This story matters today because it will be interesting  to see how a classic Hitchcock movie will be translated into todays culture, Also it will be interesting to see if it succeeds like past Affleck movies or fails.
