Three things you should know about the Bruins...this week

Bruins are still in it

1. David Pastrnak scores his first goal

Bruins rookie David Pastrnak scored his first NHL goal on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers. Pasta's first goal came off the rebound of Bruins D-man Torey Krug's shot on the powerplay. It didn't take long for Pasta to get a second later on in the game off a give-and-go from Bruins veteran David Krejci. pastrnak also had a chance for a third but unfortunately the game clock ran out be for the puck could cross the line.

2. B's on a 4 game win streak

Last night the Bruins played the leading offensive team in the league the Tampa bay Lightning. The bruins didn't have the strong start that fans had hoped for going down 1-0 because of a goal from Stamkos. However the B's tied it up on a nice one-timer by Brad Marchand off a beautiful pass by Carl Soderburg. Despite the shift in momentum Steven Stamkos scored another goal and put the Bolts ahead 2-1. Later on in the game the determination of a Bruins rookie David Pastrnak resulted in a goal to tie the game up one more time. With only one minute left in the 2nd period Milan Lucic gets a goal to give the Bruins a 3-2 lead. During the 3rd period David Pastrnak decided that one goal wasn't enough and put in his 2nd of the night.  The B's won the game 4-3.

3. Bergeron selected for the All-Star team.

Patrice Bergeron has been selected to play as the only Bruin in the NHL All-Star game. this is the first time in Bergeron's career that he has been selected to play on the All-Star team. In 701 NHL games – all with the Bruins – Bergeron has amassed 193 goals and 333 assists for 526 points. The Bruins centerman has skated in 95 career postseason games with Boston, accruing 23 goals and 43 helpers for 66 points with five game winning goals. Bergy scored a career-high seven game winning goals in the 2013-14 season.
